Every discussion about Abortion HAS to center around the scientific fact that life begins at conception. When we look for situations when an abortion may be warranted, they HAVE to take this into account. No different than taking a life in combat or in self-defense. b) Timeframe should be shorter, and only when c) or d) apply. c) Suspects must be reported to proper authorities. d) "Endangered" must be deemed by a certified OB/GYN, and performed as an emergency procedure. Abortions should never be an "elective" medical procedure, and always performed in a hospital.

Vocational training, especially in our public schools. The elitist concept from academians that every high school student should be striving to go to college is not practical or realistic. Our public education system must have the goal of preparing its students for a professional career, whether it be through higher learning or directly after high school. Drop-out rates will decline when our education system better understands and funds vocational training to prepare all high school students for life after 12th grade, whatever they choose to be.
California needs to change from being a front-end taxing state to a back-end taxing state. Small businesses and private-sector corproations need to have every opportunity to thrive and create jobs in California. Once this happens again, state tax revenues will actually increase.

Yes f) Should candidates for state office be encouraged to meet voluntary spending limits?
Yes g) Do you support requiring full and timely disclosure of campaign finance information?

Yes f) Do you support the enforcement of federal immigration laws by state and local police?
If marijuana is being proposed as a prescription drug, why isn't it handled solely by pharmicists as other controlled substances are? the MJ special interest groups want it both ways - I believe they need to decide if it's a prescription to be controlled as one, or a recreational drug to be controlled like alcohol.
Yes a) Do you support reducing government regulations on the private sector?
Yes b) Do you support increased state funding for job-training programs that re-train displaced workers?
No c) Do you support expanding access to unemployment benefits?

b) for identified target industries and as a co-op with private-sector businesses only. c) unfortunately, when jobs are not available in CA, many will need to seek employment out of state. d) Private sector jobs feed the tax revenue generation necessary for public sector jobs e) Infrastructure projects should not be proposed purely for job creation. Should be necessary based on safety or significant improvement. f) Home prices will not stabilize until those "financially unfit" to own a home transition back to renting. I do not believe home ownership is right for everyone.

Yes b) Do you support requiring background checks on gun sales between private citizens at gun shows?
Yes c) Do you support allowing individuals to carry concealed guns?
Yes d) Do you support requiring a license for gun possession?
I believe gun ownership laws are only adhered to by law-abiding citizens, so excessive restrictions on gun ownership only cripple law-abiding citizens. Criminal organizations and gangs do not organize their arsenals based on gun laws. I would propose a gun license in the same fashion as a driver's license - training on general gun use, regulations and precautions, and solely for non-felons. All licensed citizens could own unlimited quantities of legal firearms. Criminals are most afraid of armed communities.

No g) Do you support legalizing physician-assisted suicide in California?
Yes h) Do you support allowing doctors to prescribe marijuana to their patients for medicinal purposes?
f) Limits for strict liability claims; not for claims where negligence is established. h) Subject to marijuana being controlled and treated as other prescription drugs.
Yes a) Should marriage only be between one man and one woman?
Yes b) Should California allow same-sex couples to form domestic partnerships?
No c) Do you support state funding for stem cell research?
No d) Do you support state funding for embryonic stem cell research?
No e) Do you support the state's use of affirmative action?
No f) Do you support the inclusion of sexual orientation in California's anti-discrimination laws?
No g) Do you support the inclusion of gender identity in California's anti-discrimination laws?
c & d) Do not believe in state funding for stem cell research when private entities will be the beneficiaries. Must be privately funded. e) Quotas have resulted in unfair competition and accepting sub-standard results. f & g) I believe in anti-discrimination for everyone by total removal of categories. Attempting to identify categories puts citizens into groups rather than makes everyone equal.
1) Bring back private sector employment through responsive leadership and removal of anti-business barriers created by the current Legislature. 2) protect local tax revenues and the local services they support by refusing to support any state budget that takes funding from local cities and other municipal governments. 3) Apply a "six-sigma" cost-benefit analysis to every state department's budget to maximize effectiveness, remove redundant and inefficient staffing, and force our state government to "give California citizens their money's worth".
